was the perfect end to a perfect year!

I had a few days to kill before work, so I
spent them touring around Germany on
the train.

The 5 1/2 hour bus to Cappadocia was so
worth it! This place is spectacular! We
went on a sunrise balloon ride, a hike
through Ihlara canyon, spent the night in a
cave, saw the underground city in
Derinkuyu, Selime Monastery and more.

I don't know what possessed Deb and I to
walk to the Kuwait Towers in 120 degree
heat. We were just minutes away from
heatstroke before ducking into an air
conditioned diner and calling a taxi.

first visit to this central Asian country
that didn't result in me getting food
poisoning. Now that's progress!

540 Club Prom

The annual 540 Club Prom night is always
good fun. I haven't missed one yet. This
year's theme was a 50's greaser sock hop.

Adana, Turkey

I think I've taken at least 500 pictures of
the Sabanci mosque in Adana over the
years. I just can't help snapping another
photo everytime I see it.

A short trip to Larnaca that included; an
afternoon at the beach, cocktails at the
pool bar, a beautiful sunset and Mousaka
for dinner. Not a bad way to spend a day.

First time to Poland. I'm glad I can always
count on Stace to go out with me, no
matter how tired we are. We spent the
evening sightseeing and dining at a cute
little outdoor cafe.

Egypt
March/April 2009
I met my parents in Egypt for the trip of a
lifetime. We traveled to Luxor for a
spectacular 8 day cruise on the Nile, then
spent a few days in Cairo seeing the
Pyramids, Sphinx, etc. Amazing doesn't
even begin to describe it all.

This was my first trip back to Prague since
moving away in November. I thought my
return would be bittersweet, but instead it
was just plain sweet. I spent the week
with a friend before flying off to Cairo.

I traveled to Sydney for Mardi Gras week
with my friends Cynthia and Steven.
Sydney is gorgeous and the weather was
perfect. We walked around that town until
our legs gave out. I also got to see my
dear friend Thomas while I was there.

S.F. Pillow Fight

The San Francisco Pillow Fight is one of
those wacky events that remind me why I
love living in San Francisco. 2,000 people
showed up at the ferry building at 6pm on
Valentine's Day and started whacking each
other with pillows. Awesome.

Ladies Night

A fantastic night out with the ladies for
Alison's birthday. We took a limo
downtown to Jeanty at Jacks for dinner,
then headed over to the speakeasy
Bourbon and Branch for cocktails.

New York, New York

I had a few days to kill on the east coast,
so Steven met up with me in New York for
some fun in The City. I saw Bethany and
Rhea while I was there too. Yay!

Pordenone, Italy

This was a very brief trip to Pordenone,
Italy. There was just enough time to do a
little sightseeing, have a little dinner, and
drink a little wine. Perfect.

A fun time in Wiesbaden, Germany with
Randy, Kirk and Karen. We spent the day
trying to find all the attractions on a tourist
map. Number 8 had us going in circles for
awhile.

Golden Gate Bridge

There is something about the winter
lighting that makes for great photos of the
bridge and the skyline. I take pictures from
this spot every year. I'm not sure why. The
only thing that looks different from year to
year is me.

Happy New Year

Last year ended a little rough with a
broken heart and some minor health
issues, but it was still one of the best
years of my life. I am looking forward to
seeing what 2009 has in store.
